Review by Atnoon
This book is a picturebook for both children and adults, where Lumir, the beekeeping bear from the Czech Republic, charmingly and entertainingly introduces the life of honeybees and the art of beekeeping. It also showcases flowers that bees love according to the seasons and other cute insects similar to honeybees. I hope that readers will discover the fascinating world of beekeeping and honeybees through this book.
Bees unexpectedly play a significant role in our everyday lives. Whether it's rooftops, parks, farms, or flower gardens by the roadside, anywhere with fragrant flowers becomes a stage for them to tirelessly collect nectar and pollen. When you see bees busily flying around flowers on a sunny spring day, I hope you won't feel surprised or scared. Instead, I wish that this book will allow you to greet them warmly and gratefully, appreciating the beautiful scenery that nature offers.
I live in the Czech Republic with my family. I'm also the mom of five-year-old Josefinka and one-year-old Albert. We have a dog named Lasha and a cat named Charles Darwin living with us. I really enjoy creating characters and crafting stories. I take pleasure in observing unnoticed little details in my surroundings and turning ordinary moments into tales. Choosing suitable colors and combining them is always an exciting adventure for me.
I hope that Korean readers will read "Beekeeper Lumir" and become more familiar with bees and honey. Honey is not only excellent for boosting the immune system but also brings a great feeling of joy when consumed.
