Summary
Photo Book of Five Prominent Actors in the Independent Film Scene
"Vivid Moments of Everyday and Extraordinary
In this book, five prominent actors active in the independent film industry take the reins to curate and express themselves through a range of creative works including essays, drawings, graphics, and montages. Moving beyond a mere collection of their beauty, this book aims to delve into the stories of these five 'individuals'.
Going beyond the constraints of their roles as actors, this book captures their journey through these challenging times as they pursue their dreams.

During conversations, I often find myself thinking that the acting I want to convey is captured within the gaze that looks at me. It's difficult to express in a single word, but I believe it might be something like love or authenticity.
Deciding to portray a different version of myself, perhaps alien or unfamiliar, in a dream-like and possibly even surreal space that I had only seen in my dreams. I hope to blend the various things in my mind and heart into a harmonious dissonance, creating a dreamy and unique sensation that can be well conveyed.

I wanted to write down all the words that define me except for the role of an actor, and dissect each one in my notebook. I wanted to examine the elements that make up my identity one by one.
I don't want to be someone who is forgotten. I want to be a productive individual. In this harsh and lonely world, I want to live as a human, not an android, and eventually pass away. I'm not the model student type, so I don't really adhere to the standards that others have set. But one thing is clear – I don't want to live in a way that I'd be ashamed of.

Raising them together with a friend, and eventually having my own space, it ended up just Mongi and me. That's when it started. Things I hadn't seen before began to appear.
I thought that if freedom could be captured, it might lead me to moments that held significance for me. Even though I'm not a singer, I thought, why not borrow the power of song? Could there be power in singing? With these thoughts, I chose to sing. And rather than a stage or a flashy setting, I envisioned a place more commonly found in everyday life, so I thought of a karaoke room as the space.
Soyo Ahn
The person I've often thought about, "Why is this person like this?" is our mother. For thirty years, I've pondered over it, but I don't understand it well. My mother and I are quite different from each other.
What I aspire to is to be seen as an actor, as an individual who plays a central role in creating a piece of work. It doesn't matter whether it's a female or male actor. While I appreciate it if you bring me water, I don't mind fetching it myself. I'd rather engage in discussions about scenes than fuss over such matters.
Sunyoung Ryu
I wanted to experience something akin to "Alice in Wonderland," like 'Sunyoung in Wonderland.'
It seems my life has been a continuous cycle of ups and downs, moments of brightness and darkness. Within that journey, there have been elements that have matured in me, yet I still possess a childlike quality. Those contrasts hold significant importance in shaping who I am.
