Illustrator's review
While drawing 'Hiccup' I remember carrying around a small, old film camera, taking pictures every day. Maybe, like the girl with her binoculars, I also wanted to glimpse the world through my camera and meet it in my own way.
With a greeting given to me by chance, I hope that readers of this book can slowly open their hearts, like opening a window to welcome a fresh breeze, and smile warmly despite their shortcomings and painful memories.
I took out warm-textured paper, sharpened colored pencils, drew lines, filled the spaces, sometimes made mistakes and pieced together shapes like solving a puzzle to create the drawings. Sometimes I even lost tiny pieces I had sketched and searched the whole room for them, but the moments when all these small elements came together to form a complete picture made my heart happy.

When I was young, I loved drawing on a blank piece of paper with pencils, depicting the things I wanted to eat, the things I desired, and the future version of myself that I wished to become. And now, I am living as a person who draws just as they dreamed.
Life might not always be clear, but within it, my dream is to become a person who shines brightly like a sparkling rainbow.
