"In my life, it's about having what I want in the best way I know how. That's my rule of life."
Jungyeon was abandoned in a dumpster as soon as she was born. After that, she grew up in a hideout of criminals known as the "Trash can" There, she learned the art of "stealing" everything necessary for survival. That's how she was born and raised in the "Trash can" and became a thief.
Morality or conscience were not important to her. In fact, the very concept of stealing being wrong didn't exist for her. Just as animals don't consider morality or conscience when hunting, Jungyeon did whatever it took to survive. For her, survival was both her morality and conscience, her reason for existence.
Then, one day, Jungyeon encounters two others, Soohan and Suengha, who were also discarded like her. As fate would have it, she ends up stealing their destinies.

I was born in a Trash can.
I grew up in a hideout of criminals known as the "Trash can".
I stole discarded items from people to create my own kingdom.
I'm not a heartless villain.
Well, I don't have a philosophy, but I have my own standards for what I steal.
Things that others have too much of, so they wouldn't miss one.
Things I don't even know if I have, so I wouldn't notice if they were gone.
Things I lost and never bothered to find.
Things I discarded because I thought I didn't need them.
Things I wish someone would steal from me.
Those are the things I steal.
From the moment of her birth, Jungyeon was an erased existence in the world. Growing up, she learned the art of stealing what she needed to survive and became a thief. With no parents, family, friends, or even a birthday or name to call her own, the desire to possess something became the purest and most urgent instinct for her.
Jungyeon lived her life by following that instinct, stealing what she desired. One day, she encounters Soohan and Suengha, who resemble her in some ways, and she steals their destinies. They seem so complete and perfect, with nothing left to steal.
Through the stories of Jungyeon, Soohan, Suengha, and Gilman, I hope this book becomes an opportunity for us to reflect on everything we have lost and overlooked in our surroundings.
